About Me

My photo
B Elaine Carter
Mansfield, Texas, United States
Hello! My name is Elaine Carter. My family calls me Lanie. From that comes my favorite name, Granlanie. Yes, I have 5 wonderful grandsons and 1 fabulous granddaughter. These grandchildren came from my two awesome daughters. I came to the D/FW area to be nearer my grandchildren. My husband and I lived in Amarillo, Texas for over 25 years. My favorite teaching experience was teaching Reading Recovery for 8 years. It is wonderful to see children grow into confident readers. Most of my teaching experience has been with Kindergarten. I love 5/6 year olds and watching them grow and mature into readers and writers. I now teach first grade and love it! I have found my calling.
